I'm Richard Seel and I'm interested in
appropriate and authentic expressions of church.
There is a lot of experimentation going on at present and emerging
church is one way of describing the ferment under way in the church as
we try to adapt, respond and innovate in the current phase change in society. I
find it a useful term since emergence and complexity have been interests of mine
for some time (see, for instance, my "Emergence
in Organisations").
On this site I want to post some thoughts as I explore the topic and invite contributions from others. You can find what I've written here.
The annotated bibliography will be useful for those who are exploring emerging church and want to read further. As I read a book I make brief notes on it, largely as an aid for myself. I've also included links (mainly to amazon.co.uk) to the sources of everything in the bibliography.
I am starting to build up a set of links to the resources which I have found to be interesting.
